As an engaged university Center, we learn from families and communities, and with them, we create and inform practice, policy and knowledge.

What is CFACE?

CFACE is a public service and research center at North Carolina State University.

Since 2008, the Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE) has strived to build safe, healthy and productive families and communities across North Carolina.

Projects

Family-Centered Practice Project (FCPP) Professional Training

This project provides training to social workers and other professionals who work within the child welfare system through a partnership with the North Carolina Division of Social Services.

Explore Training

Addressing Opioid Use Among Youth and Youth Adults

This collaboration between NCCU and CFACE through the NC Collaboratory focuses on understanding the needs, access and availability of opioid treatment services for youth and young adults in Wake County.

Ready, Set, Resilience

The Ready, Set, Resilience curriculum is a classroom-based tool used in hurricane-ravaged areas in NC to help with recovery efforts. CFACE Director, Dr. Taylor, is traveling to Beaufort, NC with intern Kim Eshleman to participate in this workshop with K-12 teachers.

Dr. Christopher Mayhorn

Dr. Christopher Mayhorn will serve as our Director of the Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE). He previously served as our Interim Director and brings extensive leadership and research experience to support the center’s mission and future growth.
