Our Center’s Black Business Month Highlight

This Black Business Month, our Center had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with a new local business in downtown Raleigh. On Board Charcuterie, located at 215B Glenwood Avenue, is the shopfront for a new local Black-owned business in the Raleigh community! 

Our Communication Team got the chance to meet Tiana, who owns the business with her husband Bruce. Tiana and Bruce are from Long Island, New York but moved to Raleigh, North Carolina a few years ago. They’ve been in the catering business for quite a while, but Tiana saw a new opportunity to open a shop for her charcuterie during the Covid-19 pandemic! 

When Tiana was still just a kid, she loved sharing port wine cheese and summer sausages with her mom. It became her favorite treat, and her unique tastes and interest in charcuterie eventually developed into her creating beautiful boards for friends and family. Whether she was creating boards for birthdays, house warming parties, career milestones, or something in between, everyone loved Tiana’s charcuterie boards. In fact, everyone loved them so much that they started asking her to make them for their own events and parties. So, as Tiana cranked out more and more charcuterie boards for friends and acquaintances, she realized that she had an amazing business opportunity. 

With hard work, creativity, and a dream, Tiana and Bruce created On Board Charcuterie! On Board is their flagship store specializing in exquisite charcuterie and cheese experiences. This cozy spot is perfect for food lovers and culinary explorers alike.
