Meet us Monday: Jenny King
Meet Jenny King! Jenny has been with CFACE since May 2006, and serves a trainer and training coordinator and sits on the Center’s leadership team. She is responsible for the delivery and completion of various training deliverables, and hosts both in-person and online training events. Jenny also supervises the Family Centered Practice Project (FCPP) Training Program, which is active within the Center’s NC Child Welfare contract and funded by the Division of Social Services.
When asked what her favorite part about working with CFACE, Jenny says, “I really enjoy the parts of my job where I am actively engaging in the professional development and adult learning of child welfare workers and their partners.” Additionally, she says she enjoys “how the Center has continued to expand its vision and focus by diversifying its staff, seeking and obtaining additional contracts/funding opportunities, and continuing to move further into partnerships within the university itself.” The Center features a staff from an array of interdisciplinary backgrounds, which is another favorite attribute: “Over the past few years I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with different faculty members, students (undergraduate, graduate, doctoral) all who have contributed, in their own ways, in advancing the Center’s growth as an organization.”
In her free time, Jenny can usually be found outside doing yard work, walking or simply relaxing. She also enjoys swimming, going to the gym, cooking/eating and doing DIY projects. One of her favorite projects is creating family memorabilia for future generations, such as shadow boxes, scrap books, photo/video archives and other artifacts.
We are very fortunate to have Jenny at the Center, and we appreciate all of her hard work and dedication. For more information about Jenny, please check out her staff biography.
