New On-Demand Training

The Center for Family and Community Engagement is proud to announce the launch of a new course being offered under the Addictions Specialist Certificate Program for Paraprofessionals!

“Interactive Storytelling to Investigate Personal Consequences: Scenario Based Learning,” is a course that investigates how interactive storytelling and scenario-based learning can function as tools for paraprofessionals when working with clients to illuminate healthy decision-making skills and the consequences of unhealthy decisions.

This course was designed by Megan Fletcher, a Ph.D. candidate in the Communication, Rhetoric and Digital Media program, as well as an instructor of Communication and Interdisciplinary studies at North Carolina State University.

The Addictions Specialist Certificate Program for Paraprofessionals was developed to increase paraprofessionals in the field of addictions. Each month, new on-demand courses are released, which can be applied to North Carolina Addictions Specialist Professional Practice Board certification.
