Foster Parents

Dr. Kate Norwalk, in her work with the Center, conducted a needs assessment for the Foster Family Alliance of North Carolina (FFA-NC), to inform planning for how best to serve foster, adoptive, and kinship parents and to promote education and training for this population. In addition, she provided community liaison and technical assistance to FFA-NC in several ways, including facilitating communication; hosting community events with foster and child welfare partners; assisting with qualitative and quantitative data collection, management, and analysis;developing and maintaining a website and social media accounts for FFA-NC; helping to maintain a listing of licensed foster parents throughout the state; documentation, and recruitment.
