Center Spotlight: Megan Fletcher

Megan Fletcher

Meet, Megan! Megan is one of our fabulous Communication Specialists here at the Center for Family and Community Engagement (CFACE). She started working with CFACE in the fall of 2018, and was the primary communication specialist for the Foster Family Alliance of North Carolina (FFA-NC). Her main focus, both for FFA-NC and CFACE, has been external communication, particularly with regard to social media. Thanks to her incredible work, CFACE now has a presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn!

While her main focus has been on external communication, and creating more awareness for our organization online, Megan has also assisted in several aspects of internal communication. With her help, an extensive internal communication plan is underway that will better our organization as a whole. Megan is smart, talented, and dedicated to making the world a better place. We greatly appreciate everything she has done for our organization, and look forward to everything else she has to offer in the future!

Megan loves being in nature and enjoys the ocean, kayaking, trail running, and exploring any of Raleigh’s amazing parks. She also loves engaging with the Raleigh community; when she is not on campus, you can be sure to find her downtown seeing what our city has to offer. She is obsessed with the musical Hamilton, and is regularly heard quoting the show.

Megan is currently pursuing her PhD in Communication, Rhetoric and Digital Media at North Carolina State University. She also received her Bachelor of Arts from Bridgewater State University and a Master of Science degree in Communication from NC State. She initially heard about CFACE through her advisor/dissertation chair, Dr. Nicholas Taylor, who did some previous work with the center. We have been very fortunate to have her on our team!
