Connecting with Families: Family Support in Practice

This is a six-day specialized curriculum designed for family support and family resource center workers and provides instruction in the skills necessary for working successfully with families in center-based programs, in support groups, and through home visiting. The training is interactive and skill-based. This training was developed by Appalachian Family Innovations, Appalachian State University. 

Prerequisite: None

Participants: This workshop is mandatory for all state- and federally-funded family support and family resource center workers and supervisors; it is recommended for individuals who provide family support services, employees or volunteers in family resource centers, and supervisors and administrators of such programs
